Global Indian Diaspora Alliance (also known as “GLO-INDIA”) is a non-partisan, non-sectarian, and non-profit community organization that is registered in the United States and was conferred the non-profit 501(c)(3) status by the Inland Revenue Service. GLO-INDIA is engaged in promoting the well-being of the Diaspora, enhancing cooperation and communication between groups of Indians living in various countries around the globe, and furthering their relationship with India.

NAME AND PURPOSE

The name of the organizations is Global Indian Diaspora Alliance, Inc., hereinafter referred to as “GLO-INDIA.” It has been incorporated as a non-profit in accordance with the New Jersey Statutes, Title 15 A, as amended. The assets and income of the organization shall not be distributable to, or benefit, the trustees, directors, or officers or other individuals. Nothing contained herein, however, shall be deemed to prohibit the payment of reasonable compensation to employees and independent contractors for services provided for the benefit of the organization. The organization has been created exclusively for purposes pursuant to section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The purpose of the organization is to be a non-partisan, non-sectarian community organization that seeks to provide a common platform for the member organizations to coordinate cultural, educational, social, economic, and community affairs of the Indian Diaspora.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES
  1. To promote the legitimate interests of the Indian Diaspora as a whole.
  2. To help them promote the legitimate secular interests of the countries where they reside.
  3. To help Diaspora Indians promote the cultural heritage of India in their adopted countries.
  4. To mobilize their professional/intellectual resources for the development of their country of origin.
  5. To encourage interaction for the purpose of deliberation, problem solving, and decision making.
  6. To provide a forum to discuss and debate on common threats faced by the Indian Diaspora.
  7. To disseminate information at a global, regional, and national level regarding.
  8. To further interaction between the Indian Diaspora and other communities.
  9. To develop channels of communication between the Indian Diaspora and India.
  10. To raise funds for social and cultural activities and for relief during natural disasters.
  11. To create Think Tanks of Diaspora Indians on issues of interest to the Diaspora or to India.
DIRECTIVE PRINCIPLES PERMEATING GLO-INDIA
  1. The directive principles that should permeate all structures and work of GLO-INDIA are:
  2. GLO-INDIA should address itself to common problems and issues and not individual complaints.
  3. Indian Diaspora organizations should be able to share their issues with GLO-INDIA.
  4. A philosophy of participation and democratic decision-making should be pervasive in GLO-INDIA.
  5. Consider the differing stages of development of the Indian Diaspora organizations.
  6. GLO-INDIA should encourage widest participation while ensuring responsible decision-making.
  7. Principles of GLO-INDIA shall be applied uniformly and universally.
  8. GLO-INDIA’s financial records shall be made available upon request to all premium members but they will be required to bear the photocopying and postal expenses.
  9. GLO-INDIA will promote the creation of regional, country, state and eventually city level chapters. Membership of GLO-INDIA chapters will be available to all the qualifying Diaspora Indian.
  10. Every country-level GLO-INDIA organization with five or more chapters and member organizations will be officially recognized by the GLO-INDIA Executive Committee as a national organization. Details about the country level organizations are given in Appendix No. I.
ACTIVITIES OF GLO-INDIA

In realization of the objectives of the Global Indian Diaspora Alliance, GLO-INDIA will engage in the following types of activities:

  1. Conducting media campaigns to focus attention on problems affecting the Indian Diaspora.
  2. Act as a lobby, pressure group in support of causes pertaining to the Indian Diaspora.
  3. Undertake regular and periodical publication activity.
  4. Raise funds for specific activities of GLO-INDIA.
  5. Undertake/commission studies on specific problems and issues affecting the Indian Diaspora.
  6. Act as a liaison between the Diaspora Indians in specific countries and national governments, Government of India, and international organizations in realization of GLO-INDIA’s objectives.

ACTIVITIES OF GLO-INDIA

To assist GLO-INDIA’s Executive Committee in specific activities, there will be an Advisory Board, a Government Relations Committee, a Human Rights Commission, a Chamber of Commerce, a Cultural Council, a Glo-India Foundation, a Health Council, a Seniors’ Council, a Women’s Council, a Youth Council, a Media Council, a Credentials Committee, an Education and Research Council, and a Secretariat headed by a General Secretary.

Global Convention: GLO-INDIA will organize once in three years a Global Convention of the Diaspora Indians at a place and time agreed upon by most of the members of the Executive Committee, where major issues of concern to the Indian Diaspora will be discussed. The Global Convention will provide a platform for the exchange of ideas and experiences by Diaspora Indians from various parts of the world. It may adopt resolutions expressing support or concern for Diaspora Indians on issues that interest them. It will make recommendations to the General Body of GLO-INDIA on issues that require further study, action, or GLO-INDIA commitment. It will be GLO-INDIA’s policy to encourage broad participation in the GLO-INDIA Conventions. All organizations of Diaspora Indians whose objectives and principles are consistent with the objectives and principles of GLO-INDIA will be invited to participate in GLO-INDIA Conventions. The Chairman (or in his absence the Vice-Chair) of GLO-INDIA will preside at the meetings of the Global Convention, and the President of GLO-INDIA will convene the meetings. The agenda for the Global Convention will be prepared by the Executive Committee in consultation with the Chairman and Vice-Chair of GLO-INDIA. It will be open to any participating member organization to suggest items that should be placed on the agenda for discussion at the Global Convention. All participants of the Global convention will pay for their own travel and other expenses, save in exceptional cases where the Executive Committee may decide to pay itself. 

General Body: The General Body will be comprised of the Global Life Members and the Regional and Country Board Members of GLO-INDIA. The General Body will be the main policymaking body of GLO-INDIA. The General Body will use Global Life Member-based proportional representation to elect the President-Elect, Vice Presidents, and other members of the Executive Committee from among its members. The General Body will also appoint the members of the Credentials Committee, Advisory Board, Women’s Council, Seniors Council, Youth Council, Cultural Council, Health Council, Commission on Human Rights, etc. The General Body meeting will be chaired by the Chairman (or in his absence, the Vice-Chair) of GLO-INDIA. The General Body will discuss and approve the annual budget and accounts prepared by the Executive Committee. The Executive Committee will be responsible for giving shape to the guidelines given by the Global Convention and will take appropriate action to implement various resolutions passed by the Convention. It will meet at least once every 2 years at a place and time decided by the Executive Committee in consultation with the Chairman of GLO-INDIA. In the case of countries from which no Country Board Member comes to attend the Global Convention, the General Body, on the recommendations of the Credentials Committee, will nominate a particular local association or an individual to represent the interest of the community in that country. Delegates from GLO-INDIA chapters and national organizations can attend the General Body Meetings, but they would not have any voting rights. To qualify for representation in the General Body meetings, the GLO-INDIA regional and national organizations and chapters should be registered/incorporated, non-profit making, non-partisan, and non-sectarian. They should subscribe to the objectives and principles of GLO-INDIA, have a written constitution, and follow GLO-INDIA Chapter initiative documents. They should have completed one year of existence at the time of application. The formula for representation is given in Appendix No. II. In case a country does not have a GLO-INDIA chapter or a national organization, the General Body, on the recommendations of the Credentials Committee will nominate a particular association or an individual to represent the interest of the Indian Diaspora in that country. Such nominated representatives will not have the right to vote. An organization or individuals selected to represent a country in the GLO-INDIA General Body will hold that position for a maximum period of four years. 

Executive Committee: The Executive Committee will be responsible for the ongoing work of GLO-INDIA between the meetings of the GLO-INDIA General Body. It will execute all the decisions of the General Body and prepare all meetings. The Executive Committee will consist of the President, Executive Vice-President, and seven vice presidents, one for each of the following 7 regions: 

  • Africa
  • Central and South America
  • Europe
  • Middle East
  • North America
  • Oceania and the Pacific
  • Southeast Asia

All the members of the Executive Committee including the office bearers who will be elected by the Executive Committee from amongst its membership, for a maximum period of 4 years, and they will hold their offices until new members or office bearers are elected to replace them. Individuals cannot be re-elected to the same position more than twice.

The Executive Committee will report to the General Body and to the Global Convention on the activities of GLO-INDIA and provide guidance to the General Secretary and other staff of the GLO-INDIA. It will meet at least once every 2 years at a place and time to be decided by itself. It will prepare annual budgets and accounts and present them to the General Body for approval. 

The Chairman will be the head of the organization. He/she will preside over the meetings of the Global Convention, General Body, and International Advisory Board. He/she will represent GLO-INDIA to third parties in accordance with the policies of GLO-INDIA. He/she will lead all deputations and delegations of which he/she is a member. He/she will provide overall leadership for the GLO-INDIA Conventions and the General Body and direct the Executive Committee in convening the GLO-INDIA Conventions and meetings of the General Body. He/she will be consulted by the President of GLO-INDIA on all important matters. 

The Vice-Chairman will assist the Chair of the organization. In the absence of the Chair, the Vice-Chairman will preside over the meetings of the Global Convention, General Body, and International Advisory Board, represent GLO-INDIA to third parties in accordance with the policies of GLO-INDIA, and lead all deputations and delegations of which he/she is a member. In the absence of the Chairman, the Vice-Chair will provide overall leadership for the GLO-INDIA Conventions and the General Body and direct the Executive Committee in convening the GLO-INDIA Conventions and meetings of the General Body and will be consulted by the President of GLO-INDIA on all important matters. 

President will be the equivalent of the Chief Executive Officer of the organization. He/she will be responsible for the planning and execution of programs and activities of GLO-INDIA and liaison with other organizations engaged in similar activities. He/she will present the state of the organization reports to the General Body. He/she will consult the Chairman and Vice-Chair on all important matters and keep them fully informed about the activities of GLO-INDIA.

Executive Vice President will perform the functions of the President in his/her absence. He/she will be responsible for preparing and presenting financial reports at Executive Committee and General Body meetings and will assist the President in raising funds for GLO-INDIA.

Regional Vice-Presidents will be elected by the General Body, based on the recommendations of the GLO-INDIA national organizations of the region at a special meeting convened for the purpose. In case they are unable to make a unanimous recommendation, the General Body will nominate a suitable person as Vice-President of that region. The Regional Vice-Presidents will be responsible for developing and implementing plans of activities for their regions in accordance with GLO-INDIA policies. They will provide leadership at regional levels and will be responsible for stimulating the creation of national GLO-INDIA organizations in each country in their region where Diaspora Indians are residing.

General Secretary will oversee the day-to-day activities of GLO-INDIA under the guidance of the Chairman and President. He/she will also be the Secretary of the Executive Committee. He/she will be responsible for communications with members of the Executive Committee and with others interested in the activities of GLO-INDIA. He/she will also be required to give shape to the decisions of the Global Convention and General Body, report periodically on the activities of GLO-INDIA, and assist the President, Vice-Presidents, and others in the realization of the objectives of GLO-INDIA. The General Secretary will be appointed for 2 years by the Executive Committee in consultation with the Chair and Vice-Chair. The appointment can be renewed for a second term.

International Coordinators and/or Regional Coordinators will be appointed by the Chairman (or Vice-Chair) and President at the suggestion of the Executive Committee for a period of 2 years. Appointment can be renewed for one more term. President may give specific tasks to these coordinators and for initiating new GLO-INDIA chapters.

The Credentials Committee will consist of seven members, including a chairperson representing different regions of the membership of the GLO-INDIA for a period of 6 years. They will be nominated by the Executive Committee and approved by the General Body. The main task of the Credential Committee will be to verify the credentials of organizations seeking representation in the GLO-INDIA Executive Council and to make recommendations to the General Body. It will also be the responsibility of this Committee to identify groups of Diaspora Indians who are not represented at the global meetings of GLO-INDIA and to initiate measures to secure their representation in due course.

The Board of Directors will jointly supervise the activities of GLO-INDIA. The powers, duties, and responsibilities of a board of directors will be determined by government regulations (including the Federal and New Jersey State laws. The board of directors will set out the overall strategic direction for GLO-INDIA. The GLO-INDIA Chairman and the Board of Directors will constitute the supreme governing body, and board members will be chosen by the board itself.

Advisory Board will include up to twenty individuals who have helped the Indian Diaspora communities in their countries or regions and who are able to contribute to the development of the GLO-INDIA. The members of the International Advisory Board will be nominated by the General Body on the recommendation of the Executive Committee. The Chairman of GLO-INDIA will chair the meetings of the Advisory Board. The members of the Advisory Board will be invited to GLO-INDIA Conventions and will be kept informed about the activities of GLO-INDIA. The President of GLO-INDIA will be an ex-officio member of the Advisory Board. The Advisory Board members will be expected to advise and help in fund-raising for GLO-INDIA. The Advisory Board will be expected to create and maintain a GOPIO Foundation trust fund to be used for any emergency affecting GLO-INDIA and or Diaspora Indians.

League of Legends includes stalwarts whose name is synonymous with community service. They have achieved something great, which makes them the most revered and they will remain so.

The Chamber of Commerce will cater to the Indian Diaspora business community, facilitate networking, and promote collaborations in the “world without borderless” that we live in today. It will be headed by a chairperson elected by the General Body for a term of 2 years and a maximum of 2 terms. The Board Members of the Chamber of Commerce will be appointed by the Chairperson in consultation with the GLO-INDIA Executive Committee.

GLO-INDIA Foundation will be headed by a chairperson elected by the General Body for a term of 2 years and a maximum of 2 terms. Members of the GLO-INDIA Foundation will be appointed by the Chairperson in consultation with the GLO-INDIA Executive Committee. The GLO-INDIA Foundation members will be expected to advise and help in fundraising for GLO-INDIA. They will be expected to maintain and grow a GOPIO trust fund that can be used for any emergency affecting GLO-INDIA and or Diaspora Indians.

The Government Relations Committee will work with the governments of the world. It will be headed by a chairperson elected by the General Body for a term of 2 years and a maximum of 2 terms. Members of the Government Relations Committee will be appointed by the chairperson in consultation with the GLO-INDIA Executive Committee.

Commission on Human Rights is a special organ of GLO-INDIA that will monitor the observance of human rights for communities of Diaspora Indians and initiate appropriate action in case of gross violations. It will consist of 7 members who will be representing the various regions. The Commission will furnish periodical reports to various other bodies of GLO-INDIA. The Chairman and members of the Commission will be appointed by the General Body for a maximum of 4 years. The Chairman will be the head of the Commission and will represent it to third parties.

Cultural Council will work with the performing arts community and language teachers and facilitate networking and promotion of Indian Diaspora artists and language teachers. It will be headed by a chairperson elected by the General Body for a term of 2 years and a maximum of 2 terms. The members of the Cultural Council will be appointed by the Chairperson in consultation with the GLO-INDIA Executive Committee.

Women’s Council will work with the Indian Diaspora women. It will be headed by a chairperson elected by the General Body for a term of 2 years and a maximum of 2 terms. Members of the Women’s Council will be appointed by the Chairperson in consultation with the GLO-INDIA Executive Committee.

Seniors Council will work with the Indian Diaspora seniors. It will be headed by a chairperson elected by the General Body for a term of 2 years and a maximum of 2 terms. Members of the Seniors Council will be appointed by the Chairperson in consultation with the GLO-INDIA Executive Committee.

Youth Council will work with the Indian Diaspora youth. The Youth Council will be headed by a chairperson elected by the General Body for a term of 2 years and a maximum of 2 terms. Members of the Youth Council will be appointed by the Chairperson in consultation with the GLO-INDIA Executive Committee.

Health Council will work with the Indian Diaspora medical professionals. It will be headed by a chairperson elected by the General Body for a term of 2 years and a maximum of 2 terms. Members of the Health Council will be appointed by the Chairperson in consultation with the GLO-INDIA Executive Committee.

Education & Research Council will work with Indian Diaspora scholars, researchers, and education professionals. It will be headed by a chairperson elected by the General Body for a term of 2 years and a maximum of 2 terms. Members of the Education & Research Council will be appointed by the Chairperson in consultation with the GLO-INDIA Executive Committee.

The Media Council will work with the global media. It will be headed by a chairperson elected by the General Body for a term of 2 years and a maximum of 2 terms. Members of the Media Council will be appointed by the Chairperson in consultation with the GLO-INDIA Executive Committee.

IMPEACHMENT

Sexual Harassment and Age/Gender-Based Bullying Committee will work with the GLO-INDIA Executive Committee. It will be headed by an Officer appointed by the Executive Committee for a term of 2 years and maximum of 2 terms. Members of the Sexual Harassment and Age or Gender-Based Bullying Committee will be appointed by the Chairperson in consultation with the GLO-INDIA Executive Committee.

SEXUAL HARASSMENT AND AGE/GENDER-BASED BULLYING COMMITTEE

GLO-INDIA office-bearers can be impeached by the General Body for misdemeanor and for gross and willful violation of the GLO-INDIA constitution. Impeachment proceedings can be initiated by a minimum of 10% of the General Body members. The office-bearer concerned will be provided a written statement of the charges against him/her and given thirty days to reply to the charges. The impeachment charges and replies from the person charged will be circulated to all General Body members at least 30 days before the General Body meeting at which they are to be discussed. Impeachment decision can be made only with the three/fourth (3/4) majority of the General Body members present and voting at a meeting with due prior notice concerning this agenda item.

SPONSORS

Persons who have made outstanding contributions to the cause of GLO-INDIA may be honored as Patrons. All patrons will be invited to Global Conventions and will be kept informed about the activities of GLO-INDIA.

PATRONS

Persons who have made significant contributions in cash or kind to GLO-INDIA events may be honored as Sponsors. All sponsors will be invited to Global Conventions and will be kept informed about the activities of GLO-INDIA

MEMBERSHIP FEE

It will be necessary to have an annual GLO-INDIA fee for each chapter. The annual GLO-INDIA chapter fee is currently US$100 (in any currency convertible to US dollars) per chapter per delegate. However, considering the circumstances, the Executive Committee will have the power to adjust it. Chapter membership lists for each chapter will be utilized to determine the number of delegates allocated to that chapter. The GLO-INDIA membership types are shown on the membership page, and upgrades will be allowed if the member pays the difference in the fee scale for the desired class. The General Body may review and change the membership fee when required. The suggested Chapter membership fee is US$100 per year or US$200 for 3 years (payable to the local chapter). However, the chapters can decide their local membership fee rate and schedule.

AMENDMENTS

Amendments to these bylaws shall be made only with the approval of the two-third (2/3) majority of the members of the General Body present and voting. Amendments may be initiated by the Executive Committee or by 10% voting members of the General Body acting together. If the amendments are initiated by 10% voting members then the members concerned shall send them in writing to the Executive Committee at least 60 days in advance of the General Body meeting at which they are to be considered. Irrespective of whether amendments originate with the voting members or Executive Committee, the Executive committee shall circulate them to the members of the General Body along with their own recommendations at least 30 days in advance of the Council meeting at which they are to be considered.

QUORUM

Quorum for taking decisions by the General Body should be 30 % of its membership plus one and for Executive Committee 50 % plus one.

ELECTIONS

1. The Board of Directors shall appoint an Elections Committee consisting of one Chairperson and two members. All the members of this committee must be members of the Board of Directors of the GLO-INDIA representing a member organization of good standing for a minimum of two years. The Chairperson of this committee should have served GLO-INDIA at least for one term as a sub-committee Chairperson or Executive Committee of GLO-INDIA.

2. The Election Committee shall conduct all the elections of GLO-INDIA during the term of that committee up to the election of the next Election Committee.

3. The Executive Committee election shall be conducted according to the following procedures:

a. The Election Committee shall call for nominations for the offices by sending out nomination forms to the Presidents of each member organization.

b. The nomination forms, signed by the President or Secretary of the nominating Organization and by the nominee and signifying her/his acceptance. In case of any dispute, the President’s signature prevails. All nomination papers should be returned to the Election Committee Chairperson within the date and time specified by the

c. The Election Commission shall close the receipt of nominations thirty days prior to the Election Day and shall immediately mail to all the member organizations and candidates, a list of the names of all nominees for all offices.

d. If only one nomination is received for any position, that nominee shall be declared elected

e. If no nominations are received for any office, the Committee shall accept nominations from the floor made at the annual meeting of the General Body.

f. The Election Committee shall then conduct the voting at a time and place after duly declaring it and intimating to all Then the election shall be conducted and results declared. The Chairperson should also give a written notification to the Secretary.

g. All the elections of GLO-INDIA shall be by online voting using a 3rd

4. The out-going Executive Committee shall hand over charge to the newly elected- officers within ten days of the election. All the documents, records, bank accounts, bank records and assets of GLO-INDIA must be transferred to the new Executive Committee. The Chairperson and at least one member of the Election Committee shall be witness to this transfer and they should sign the transfer papers.

In case of a vacancy occurring in any office except for President and Secretary, the Board of Directors may co-opt from amongst themselves an officer to fill the vacancy.

HEAD QUARTERS OF GLO-INDIA

The headquarters and the location of the other organs of GLO-INDIA will be in the USA.

OFFICIAL YEAR

The official year of GLO-INDIA shall be the same as the calendar year.

OFFICIAL LANGUAGE

English will be the official language of GLO-INDIA.

DISSOLUTION

GLO-INDIA may be dissolved with the approval of the three-fourths majority of the General Body members present and voting at an extra-ordinary meeting specially called for this purpose. In the case of dissolution, the Executive Committee shall donate the net assets of the GLO-INDIA to an organization whose objects are similar to the objectives of GLO-INDIA.

GLO-INDIA NATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS

Indian Diaspora should be encouraged to create a national organization in the country where they reside, e.g., GLO-INDIA Canada, GLO-INDIA Germany, etc. Such an organization will pursue the objectives of GLO-INDIA in its own country and send representatives to the GLO-INDIA Executive Council. It should be non-partisan, non-sectarian and registered or incorporated as a non-profit organization (save where prohibited by law or not allowed otherwise). It should hold regular elections.

Its membership should be open to individuals and organizations which subscribe to GLO-INDIA’s objectives and pay the prescribed annual or life membership fees. Depending upon the size of Indian Diaspora community and level of development of the Diaspora organizations, each GLO-INDIA national organization in consultation with GLO-INDIA Executive Committee can decide the number of votes to be allotted to and the annual fees to be charged from its constituents.

Each national organization will have 1 delegate for each 5 GLO-INDIA chapters/member associations. Additional delegate will be allowed for the next 5 chapters of member associations. The total delegates from a national organization will be limited to 5, i.e. representing 25 or more chapters or national organizations. The national organizations will a pay an annual fee of $50 per delegate. These delegates are in addition to those representing GLO-INDIA chapters as shown in Appendix II.

GLO-INDIA CHAPTERS

GLO-INDIA will facilitate city, regional and national chapter development for a global network of all Diaspora Indians.  To achieve that objective, GLO-INDIA would encourage the opening of chapters every where, instilling a culture of service among the Indian Diaspora and making GLO-INDIA an international organization.

II.A. Starting a Chapter

There shall not be a GLO-INDIA Chapter within a 10-mile radius of another GLO-INDIA Chapter’s local area unless it is in another state. A “mentor chapter,” either selected mutually or assigned by GLO-INDIA will guide the new chapter in the start-up process.

II.B Process of Starting a Chapter

  • Gather 5 people who are willing to commit to work cohesively on the development of the chapter before writing a Letter of Intent (LOI).
  • Submit the LOI to the GLO-INDIA Secretariat and Regional Vice President indicating your desire to start a local chapter
  • The GLO-INDIA President, International Coordinator or Regional Vice President will help with the selection of a mentor chapter.
  • On receipt of LOI by the GLO-INDIA Secretariat and Regional Vice President, the requester is authorized to organize the chapter with “probationary status”, which entitles:
    • Participation in GLO-INDIA activities without voting rights;
    • Chapter link on GLO-INDIA web page;
    • Organization of events and activities under the GLO-INDIA banner: Mentor chapter and GLO-INDIA International/Regional Vice President can help with ideas;
    • Use of GLO-INDIA constitution to elect officers;
    • Chapter incorporation, if needed, at the local level.
  • Chapter progress will be formally reviewed by GLO-INDIA Regional Vice President and Executive Committee approximately 3 months after the organization of the “start-up chapter.”
  • Approximately 6 months from submitting LOI; if voted in, and on receipt of annual dues, the “start-up chapter” becomes an official chapter with voting rights in the GLO-INDIA Executive Council.
  • For sake of uniformity, the chapter will be named with a city or an area after GLO-INDIA, e.g. GLO-INDIA New York.

II.C Chapter Officers

  • Each GLO-INDIA Chapter will elect an Executive Committee consisting of President, Vice President, Secretary, Joint Secretary, Treasurer and other committee members.
  • Individual members in a chapter will pay an annual fee prescribed by the chapter Executive Committee.

II.D Remaining a Good Standing Chapter 

  • Financial good standing (Regular payment of annual dues, currently US $50/year per delegate)
  • Participation in all GLO-INDIA projects/ committee(s).
  • Have an elected and structured local Board
  • Communicate all GLO-INDIA issues to local membership

II.E Country Coordinator

A country coordinator will be appointed by Executive Committee in consultation with the chapter presidents from that country, if there are two or more chapters in a country. The appointed Country Coordinator has to be a Life Member of GLO-INDIA. Once there are more than five chapter or member organizations in the GLO-INDIA national organization, the GLO-INDIA national president will take charge of the coordinator for the country.

II.F Chapters and Life Members

Chapters are encouraged to enroll Life Members for GLO-INDIA international. From the Life Membership fee received by GLO-INDIA International, 25% will go to the chapter where the member comes from, which would also entail Life Membership of the local chapter. The chapters can also have their own life members with prescribed fees which will be determined by the local chapter itself.

II.G Relationship of a Chapter with GLO-INDIA International

A chapter in good standing will have the voting rights in the GLO-INDIA Executive Council as per the following sliding scale:

  • 10 to 25 members    –           1 delegate
  • 26 to 100 members  –           2 delegates
  • 101 to 500 members-           3 delegates
  • 500 + members         –           4 delegates

By opting to pay with a credit card or using PayPal, you are authorizing us to charge that credit card or Paypal for any fees, and/or any other amounts that become due and payable. In the event that your credit card has expired or we are unable to debit the applicable amounts from that credit card or PayPal, we will provide notice to you, whereupon you will immediately furnish in writing to GLO-INDIA a valid credit card account number or make the payment to us by check or money order.
