Malaysia: There are 2.4 million people of Indian origin residing in Malaysia. They form one of the most diverse groups in the country.
United Arab Emirates (UAE): Approximately 2.2 million people of Indian origin live in the UAE and are distributed across three main Emirates: Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Dubai.
United Kingdom (UK): Among the European countries, UK has the highest population of people of Indian origin at 1.4 million.
South Africa: Durban in South Africa holds the title for largest Indian city out of India. The country has a population of 1.3 million people of Indian origin, with most of them residing in Durban.
Canada: Approximately 3% of the Canadian population is of Indian origin.
Myanmar: About 1.1 million people of Indian origin live in Myanmar. The reason attributed to this high population is migration of Indians to the surrounding nations several decades ago.
Mauritius: Indo-Mauritians form 68% of the country’s population, owing to their migration to Mauritius during the British reign in India.
